Massacre no Carandiru
Em 02 de outubro de 1992, 111 presos foram mortos após uma briga generalizada no Pavilhão 9 da penitenciária do Carandiru, em São Paulo. A polícia tentou conter e foi autorizada a invadir pelo coronel da reserva Ubiratan Guimarães. Ele comandou os policiais e foi condenado a 632 anos de prisão.
