“Não se porta com indecência, não busca os seus interesses, não se irrita, não suspeita
mal.” (1 Coríntios 13:5); “Não maquines o mal contra o teu próximo, pois que habita contigo confiadamente.” (Provérbios 3:29).
A atitude do Mestre Jesus foi a de mostrar a todos que a crueldade não é a melhor resposta, e sim o perdão. Uma vez que todos estamos sujeitos a erros e gostaríamos de ter a oportunidade de nos redimir. Ao escrever no chão, o Mestre dava uma oportunidade à mulher pecadora, pois ela também precisava de uma oportunidade para reconhecer a gravidade de seu erro para mudar de vida.
